About The Position

Clarifi is partnering with a Michigan school district to hire a compassionate, student-focused School Social Worker for a full-time, campus-based position. The role supports students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being and helps them overcome barriers to learning. As part of the student services division, the School Social Worker collaborates with educators, families, and administrators to design and implement interventions, advocate for student needs, and contribute to a positive school culture.

The position includes providing individual and small-group counseling; conducting evaluations and developing social-emotional and behavioral intervention strategies; participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary consultations; responding to student crises; coordinating with teachers, families, and community agencies; and maintaining documentation to monitor and report student progress.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Social Work.
• Experience working within the MTSS framework.
• School Social Work Licensure, temporary approval, or full school approval for School Social Worker.

Nice To Haves

• PBIS, CPI, and Crisis Intervention training and experience.
• Experience in a school environment and in a center-based program.
• Experience working with students with Emotional Impairments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and small-group counseling sessions tailored to student needs.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and formulate social-emotional and behavioral intervention strategies.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical insights during multidisciplinary team consultations.
• Provide intervention and support during critical or high-stress student situations.
• Coordinate with teachers, families, and local community agencies to connect students with support services.
• Maintain documentation to monitor and report student development.
