About The Position
Clarifi is partnering with a Michigan school district to hire a compassionate, student-focused School Social Worker for a full-time, campus-based opportunity. The School Social Worker supports students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being and helps address barriers to learning. Working as part of the student services division, the role collaborates with educators, families, administrators, and community agencies to develop and implement interventions, advocate for student needs, and support a positive school culture. The position includes individual and small-group counseling, comprehensive evaluations and intervention planning, participation in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary consultations, crisis intervention, coordination of community and care services, and compliant documentation to monitor and report student progress.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Social Work.
- Experience working within the MTSS framework.
- School Social Work licensure, Temporary School Approval, or Full School Approval for School Social Worker.
Nice To Haves
- PBIS, CPI, and Crisis Intervention training and experience.
- Experience in a school environment and in a center-based program.
- Experience working with students with Emotional Impairments.
Responsibilities
- Deliver individual and small-group counseling sessions tailored to student needs.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop targeted social-emotional and behavioral intervention strategies.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical insights during multidisciplinary team consultations.
- Provide immediate intervention and support during critical or high-stress student situations.
- Partner with teachers, families, and local community agencies to coordinate support services.
- Maintain detailed, compliant documentation to monitor and report student development.
