About The Position

A school-based education program is seeking a School Social Worker to provide comprehensive student support services. This role focuses on addressing students’ social, emotional, behavioral, and academic needs through collaboration with school staff, families, and community resources. The ideal candidate will support student well-being and success in a structured educational environment.

Requirements

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement (required)
• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field
• Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a school-based setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students
• Conduct social-emotional and behavioral assessments
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement intervention strategies
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate
• Support students experiencing social, emotional, family, or behavioral challenges
• Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school, state, and regulatory requirements
• Respond to crisis situations and provide appropriate intervention and support
• Adhere to all school policies, confidentiality standards, and professional guidelines
