About The Position

An educational organization in Chicago, Illinois is seeking an experienced, full-time School Social Worker to support school campuses during the 2025–2026 school year . Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field
• Appropriate Illinois state licensure or certification for School Social Work
• Proven experience working in a school-based setting
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with families, educators, and community partners

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to support students’ social-emotional development and academic success
• Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments to identify student needs and appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with families and community agencies to address adverse conditions affecting student learning
• Serve as an active member of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team, including: Determining eligibility for special education services Supporting appropriate program placement Monitoring and documenting student progress
• Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with students, families, teachers, and administrators
• Contribute to a multidisciplinary learning support team focused on improving student outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school, district, and state requirements
• Participate in meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities as required
