Requirements

  • Graduation from university with a master’s degree in social work, or graduation from university with a Bachelor of Social Work degree, plus related experience, or graduation from university at the bachelor level in a related discipline as recognized by the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers plus considerable related experience.
  • Registration [or eligibility] with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers.

Responsibilities

  • Providing integrated assessment and intervention services to children and youth with emotional and behavioral issues.
  • Delivering assessment, intervention, and rehabilitation interventions within the school district and community contexts.
  • Providing necessary supports to children, youth, and their families in their respective schools, neighborhoods, or other accessible community-based service locations.
  • Developing collaborative working relationships and service linkages with other specialized departmental and community agencies that provide essential supports to meet the adaptation needs of children, youth and their families.
