About The Position

Community Leadership Academy and Victory Preparatory Academy are seeking a licensed School Social Worker who wants to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a highly student-centered position for someone who enjoys working directly with children and adolescents, partnering with families, and collaborating with a strong multidisciplinary school team. You will help students build the organization, self-management, emotional regulation, attendance, relationship, and problem-solving skills they need to participate successfully in school and become increasingly independent over time. The goal is straightforward: Help students get on track, stay on track, and develop the skills to increasingly manage their own success. The focus is not on doing things for students, but on teaching students strategies they can eventually use for themselves. This role supports students in building the skills, habits, and confidence they need to participate successfully in school as a whole. This position is central to our work to strengthen coordinated student supports across Community Leadership Academy and Victory Preparatory Academy. A major focus of this role is helping students develop practical skills that support success across every class. You will also help students strengthen social-emotional skills that support learning. Attendance challenges are often connected to other barriers. The School Social Worker will help identify those barriers and work with students and families to build practical strategies for improved attendance and engagement. Strong student support includes strong family partnerships. A strong student-support system should not depend on one person. You will help teachers and staff strengthen their ability to support students.
