About The Position

The Office Lead is responsible for collaborating with the Site Operations Manager (SOM), Office Assistant, site leadership team, extended school and Support Office staff, parents, and scholars to effectively facilitate the school's daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to student achievement, hold scholars and themselves to high expectations, and uphold Navigator school culture at all times.

Requirements

  • Manage the school office to ensure effective, efficient daily operations
  • Perform school front desk administrative responsibilities
  • Assist the School Principal and Vice Principals with ad hoc projects as needed
  • Coordinate meetings between the School Principal and other parties
  • Serve as liaison between District and site personnel, parents, scholars, school and community organizations, and the general public
  • Support the updated listing of key inventory items (school property)
  • Collaborate with the Office Assistant in collecting student attendance data from teaching staff and inputting it into the Student Information System
  • Support the preparation of daily absence reports and the maintenance of accurate daily attendance and tardy records for all scholars
  • Register, release, or transfer scholars according to established guidelines and procedures; assist in the completion and receipt of the enrollment form
  • Enter student and family information into the database
  • Prepare and maintain student records, including student enrollment, class rosters, transportation, health, discipline, and cumulative files
  • Maintain confidentiality of records and information as appropriate
  • Provide oral and written translation during school and organizational meetings, and all hard copy and electronic communication with parents
  • Provide other interpreter or translation services upon request of the Principal, leadership team, or SOM
  • Support the purchasing process, including obtaining appropriate approvals and initiating purchases
  • Collect invoices from vendors, deliver to SOM
  • Support the coordination of invoice payments, including sending invoices to the
  • Support the Office and facilitate the payment approval process
  • Maintain and update Parent Square documents and communications as directed by SOM or the Principal
  • When necessary, supervise children in a positive manner
  • Attend meetings as directed by the SOM or Principal
  • Post agendas for board meetings as directed by the SOM or Principal
  • Evaluate medical emergencies, administer first aid or approved medication to scholars on an immediate or daily basis to meet their health care needs
  • Perform other tasks and duties as requested by the Principal, SOM, leadership team, or Support Office leadership
  • Understand that we are Navigator and that all employees are required to support student learning and the day-to-day activities at the school
