About The Position

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to support elementary and high school students, fostering meaningful communication and student success throughout the 2026 2027 school year in Jonesboro, GA. This role involves providing sign language interpretation services for students during classroom instruction, school activities, and educational events. The interpreter will facilitate effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and teachers, staff, and peers. Collaboration with educators and support staff is key to promoting an inclusive learning environment and ensuring students have equitable access to educational opportunities. Maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate documentation are also important aspects of this position.

Requirements

Active Georgia Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Certification
Active Georgia Educational Interpreter License
Experience interpreting in educational settings, preferably with elementary and/or high school students
Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt interpretation services to diverse student needs
