About The Position

This position serves as the face and voice of the campus, reporting directly to the Principal and/or Assistant Principal. The School Secretary is an important part of The Rhodes School and displays a professional demeanor at all times.

Requirements

  • One to three years of work experience in an office environment involving public contact.
  • Ability to carry and/or lift less than 15 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college preferred.
  • Experience working at a school site is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provides key support, including the performance of a wide variety of specialized clerical duties involving compiling and arranging data, making computations, conceptualizing and preparing reports, processing and coding documents, and maintaining specialized and comprehensive records and filing.
  • Receives, classifies, reconciles, consolidates, and summarizes documents and information.
  • Answers calls, records messages, and redirects inquiries to the appropriate individual or department. Attends to all visitors and staff.
  • Sets up and prepares statistical reports. Resolves discrepancies and communicates with a variety of administrative and professional employees within and outside the organization.
  • Prepares reports from confidential records; assists with data input as directed by campus administration.
  • Assist in the dissemination of PEIMS-related information.
  • Compile and maintain all physical and computerized reports, records and other documents as directed by the principal or PEIMS Coordinator.
  • Operates computers and standard office equipment
  • Coordinates office operations. Resolves most questions and problems, and refers the most complex issues to higher levels.
  • Maintains confidentiality of records.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
