About The Position
Registered nurses are sought for rewarding school nursing roles, offering a desirable work-life balance with hours ending by 4 PM and enjoyment of school breaks. The Caswood Group is recruiting for three Registered Nurse positions at a local district on the Southwest side of Monroe County. These are direct hire positions working directly for the district, not through an agency. Caswood is seeking candidates for a tenure-track position as a school nurse, responsible for the provision and coordination of school health services for students and staff at the School, beginning immediately.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in the field of nursing
- Current New York State license as a registered Professional Nurse
- Pediatric Experience, and/or school nursing
- Possesses professional role-modeling, communication, cultural competence, and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of school nursing procedures and services, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality are expected
Nice To Haves
- Holds New York State teaching certification as a School Nurse Teacher
Responsibilities
- Maintaining student health, and immunization records
- Conducting various medical screenings
- Working with the building team to address health-related needs that impact learning
- Supervising the health office staff
- Provision and coordination of school health services for students and staff
