About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN, BSN) to serve as a School Nurse for the 2026–2027 school year in Everett, Washington. If you’re passionate about student wellness and want to work with a values-driven, therapist-run organization, we’d love to hear from you! This is a part-time, substitute position working Mondays, Wednesdays, and every other Friday at a Middle School. The end date is TBD, and flexibility regarding the length of the contract is required. A BSN degree is a plus but not required. School experience (as a 1-1 nurse or health-room nurse) is required.

Requirements

• Valid Washington State RN license (DOH) or compact RN license
• BSN Degree (or higher) Required
• School Nursing ESA required
• Fingerprinting and background check required prior to start
• School experience (as a 1-1 nurse or health-room nurse required)

Nice To Haves

• BSN a plus but not required
• Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or public health preferred

Responsibilities

• Triage and manage student injuries, illnesses, and chronic conditions
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and IHPs
• Maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Communicate with families regarding student health needs
• Collaborate with school staff, special education teams, and administrators
• Participate in IEP or 504 plan meetings when appropriate
• Support health education and wellness initiatives
• Respond to emergencies and follow school safety protocols
• Monitor immunization compliance and conduct health screenings as needed
