About The Position

The School Psychologist will provide essential psychological services to students, including counseling, support for IEP and 504 plans, crisis intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. This role involves maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and offering training to school staff on mental health and behavioral strategies. The position requires adherence to professional standards and legal requirements, including background checks and relevant certifications.

Requirements

• Department of Education School Psychologist Certification in the state where services are delivered
• Department of Justice/FBI Background Check (or equivalent state or national fingerprint clearance)
• TB Clearance
• Eligibility to work in the US

Nice To Haves

• Certification from the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)
• Prior experience working as a school psychologist
• Bilingual in Spanish/English

Responsibilities

• Provide DIS counseling based on students' IEPs.
• Develop and consult on individualized education plans (IEPs) and 504 plans.
• Create evidence-based interventions and strategies for students.
• Offer crisis support during emergencies.
• Train school staff on mental health, behavior management, and instructional strategies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress.
• Prepare detailed reports for IEP meetings, evaluations, and other documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review and plan student interventions.
