Functions as a psycho educational consultant to all students through consultation, counseling, assessment, staff development, and program development/evaluation activities. This role involves acting as a consultant to teachers and school personnel, conferring with parents, providing counseling and crisis intervention, administering and interpreting assessments, co-chairing ARC meetings, organizing staff development, leading parent education groups, participating in research and evaluation projects, assisting with special education and early childhood assessments, implementing programs for at-risk students, aiding in the development and selection of evaluation procedures, interpreting the school psychologist role to the community, and utilizing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
