The School Psychologist will work with middle school students for the 2026/2027 school year. This role involves utilizing various assessment and data collection methods to identify student strengths and needs, developing effective services and programs, and measuring progress. The psychologist will consult and collaborate with colleagues, students, families, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service implementation. Key responsibilities include supporting cognitive and academic skills, as well as socialization, learning, and mental and behavioral health through interventions like behavioral supports, individual and group counseling, and social skills training. The role also focuses on creating supportive learning environments, promoting well-being through protective factors, and implementing crisis preparation and response strategies. Providing effective services that respect diversity and advocate for social justice is a core component. Research is to be used as a foundation for service delivery, employing various techniques and technology for data collection and analysis. The position may also involve administering out-of-district evaluations, participating in professional development, and completing other assigned duties.
