About The Position

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a School Psychologist for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year. We’re seeking passionate and collaborative professionals who are excited to make a meaningful impact in the school-based setting. This role involves providing school psychology services in an elementary or middle school setting in Portsmouth, VA. The position is in-person and offers flexibility in the number of days and hours.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in School Psychology
• Active Virginia School Psychology License or willing to obtain

Nice To Haves

• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide school psychology services in the school setting
• Conduct assessments and write comprehensive evaluation reports
• Develop and implement IEP goals and therapy plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with school teams
• Partner with teachers and families to support carryover of skills
• Maintain timely documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
