About The Position

Redmond School District is seeking qualified applicants for a 1.0 FTE School Psychologist position. This role supports the district's mission of making success possible for all students. The district serves over 7,000 students across various locations and operates multiple schools. The School Psychologist will provide psychological services to students, parents, and staff to foster a positive learning environment, promote student adjustment, and maximize educational opportunities. Responsibilities include administering and reporting on standardized assessments, conducting behavioral and functional behavioral assessments, consulting with teachers and staff on behavioral intervention strategies, implementing pre-referral interventions, and providing consultation and training on cognitive, learning, and behavior issues. The role also involves site coordination of special services programs.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychological services to pupils, parents and school staff for the purpose of providing a positive learning atmosphere, promoting better pupil adjustment and promoting the full utilization of District and community educational opportunities.
• Performs a variety of activities that support the instructional programs in the schools.
• Administers and reports information from standardized assessment instruments.
• Conducts behavioral and functional behavioral assessments.
• Consults with teachers and staff on behavioral intervention strategies.
• Implements pre-referral interventions.
• Consults and trains teachers, staff and parents on cognitive, learning and behavior problems for students in their assigned schools and throughout the District.
• Site coordination of special services programs in their assigned schools.
