About The Position

The School Playground Recreation Aide will work at Whitney Ave Elementary School, a high-needs school. This is a permanent, part-time position with a work year of 10 months/year, 195 days/year, 5 days/week. The daily work hours are 2.5 hours, from Monday to Friday, 11:15 AM to 1:45 PM.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with elementary school-aged children.
• Knowledge of playground safety procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with children in a school or recreational setting.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during playground activities.
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for children.
• Organize and lead recreational activities.
• Enforce school rules and policies on the playground.
