About The Position

Join our team as a School Officer Assisting Student Learning at St Margaret Mary's College, Hyde Park. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Officer - Assisting Student Learning to join our team in a fixed-term, term-time position, working 30 hours per week during Term 3, from 13 July 2026 to 18 September 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students in their learning journey while working within a collaborative and supportive school environment. In this role, you’ll nurture curiosity and a love of learning by providing hands-on support in the classroom, assisting students with their individual learning goals, and helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. With patience, empathy, and understanding, you’ll build strong connections with students - supporting their confidence and wellbeing as they learn and grow. You’ll work closely with teachers to monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and provide meaningful feedback that encourages each learner to thrive. Guided by Catholic values, you’ll embrace the school’s mission, prioritise student safety and wellbeing, and help create a welcoming, supportive environment where every learner feels they belong. Townsville Catholic Education has standards of conduct for workers to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
