About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of administrative, clerical, and supervisory duties in support of the school's operational and instructional programs. The School Office Manager serves as the primary point of contact for students, parents, staff, and the public, managing the school office and ensuring efficient daily operations. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. The School Office Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming and efficient school environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience with student information systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of school office procedures and operations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience in a K-12 school setting.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct the work of clerical and support staff.
  • Manage the school office, including student registration, attendance records, and record-keeping.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail.
  • Maintain financial records, process purchase orders, and manage office supplies.
  • Assist with scheduling, event planning, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between the school, parents, and the community.
  • Ensure compliance with district policies and procedures.
  • Operate office equipment such as computers, copiers, and phone systems.
  • Provide support to teachers, administrators, and students.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
