About The Position

BridgePrep Academy Broward is seeking a compassionate, licensed School Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Exceptional Student Education (ESE) team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will evaluate and support students who require therapy to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, handwriting, self-regulation, and visual-motor integration—ensuring they can fully participate in daily classroom routines and achieve their academic potential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university.
• Active Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) License issued by the Florida Department of Health.
• Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse (HB 531).
• Must provide three professional reference checks, including at least one direct supervisor.

Nice To Haves

• Previous pediatric or school-based OT experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct individual and small-group occupational therapy sessions to ESE students according to their IEP specifications.
• Conduct functional OT assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and establish educational relevance for therapy services.
• Formulate measurable fine-motor, visual-motor, and sensory-based IEP goals; maintain accurate therapy logs and attend IEP meetings.
• Recommend adaptive tools, pencil grips, flexible seating, sensory strategies, and environmental modifications to support general and special education teachers.
• Partner with families to provide progress updates, home exercises, and practical strategies to support student development outside of school.
