About The Position

The Solon Community School District is seeking a skilled and collaborative School Nutrition Program Director to manage and direct the district’s food service program. The School Nutrition Program Director is responsible for the overall administration, operation, and compliance of the district's School Nutrition Program, including the School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program. The Director reports to the Superintendent or designee and ensures the program operates on a nonprofit basis in accordance with federal, state, and Iowa Department of Education regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s (any major) + 1 year food service experience
• Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in an approved major
• Equivalent educational experience

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct the district’s food service program.
• Oversee the overall administration, operation, and compliance of the district's School Nutrition Program, including the School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.
• Ensure the program operates on a nonprofit basis in accordance with federal, state, and Iowa Department of Education regulations.
