School Nurse (2026-2027)
About The Position
Match Charter Public School is seeking an experienced registered nurse for its 600+ student elementary school, located at 100 Poydras St., Hyde Park, MA. This is a second full-time nurse position to support the daily health needs of the students. The nurse will also provide occasional coverage at Match Middle School in Jamaica Plain or Match High School in Brighton. The school is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of all students. The nurse will collaborate closely with school leaders, teachers, and other staff. The role requires a registered nurse with CPR/AED certification and ideally has experience in school nursing, pediatrics, emergency room, and/or public health.
Requirements
- Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioners license
- Valid CPR certification, including AED
- Experience in pediatrics/adolescent medicine
- Ability to function autonomously in a clinical capacity
- Excellent communication skills with youth and families from multiple cultural backgrounds

Responsibilities
- Assessment, triage, and treatment of acute illness and injury
- Management of chronic disease such as DM Type I, Seizure, Asthma
- Medication administration PRN and daily
- Competence and comfort with delivery of sensitive services
- Serving as medical presence during school hours from 7am-2:45pm daily
- Implement annual school requirements including health screenings for all students, EpiPen and medication delegation for staff, field trip coordination for students with medical needs, annual medical forms from students, maintenance of medical orders, and procedures for students on individual health plans
- Provide nurse coverage if needed at Match Middle School and Match High School
- Assist with school programming as needed during non-instructional time
- Serve as a positive and collaborative member of the Match Charter Public School community
