School Nurse (2026-2027)
About The Position
Achievers Early College Prep Charter School seeks a hard-working, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to serve as a middle school and high school nurse for grades 6-9. Experience with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity is a must. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Perform hearing, vision and other health screenings, Treat students and staff as needed, Prepare incident reports for student and staff injuries, Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions, Consult with teachers, school administrators and other school staff regarding student care, Administer medication, Monitor student immunization records, Educate students and staff on health procedures, Help students who have feeding disabilities.
Requirements
- A minimum degree of Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or Registered Nurse License is required.
- Experience working in collaboration with other nurses and with students.
- Demonstrated compliance experience required.
Nice To Haves
- Candidate possessing a Standard School Nurse Certificate (CSN) for the state of NJ
- Managed an audit process is highly preferred.
