About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Certified School Nurse (CSN) to join our team full-time, working with children with special needs (ages 3 through 21). First Children School in Plainfield, NJ is a New Jersey Department of Education approved private special education school, serving students in grades PreK through high school. We specialize in educating students with multiple disabilities including those who are medically fragile, developmentally, intellectually, or physically disabled, deaf or hard of hearing, and/or visually impaired.
Requirements
- Nursing license in the state of New Jersey - CSN required.
- BSN degree.
- Current CPR/AED and Professional Rescuer Certifications.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Professional demeanor.
- Adequate vision and hearing.
- Physical mobility for emergency situations.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in English and bi-lingual in Spanish Preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct health assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized health plans
- Facilitate necessary referrals to healthcare providers
