About The Position

The School Nurse AHN position is a full-time role within the Navicent Health Medical Center's School Nursing Program. The nurse will be responsible for managing the healthcare needs of students, administering medications and first aid, providing CPR training, and maintaining health records. This role requires strong communication and documentation skills, working collaboratively with parents, stakeholders, and school staff.

Requirements

Current RN licensure in the State the teammate practices
Graduate of an accredited School of Registered Professional Nurses
None

Responsibilities

Administers OTC and prescription medications
Provide basic first aid
CPR training for staff
Manage healthcare needs such as Asthma, Diabetes and Epilepsy as examples
Develop and maintain relations with parents and stakeholders in the schools
Document in Power School and keep medical information update
Reviews and updates immunization and health records at the school
