About The Position

Are you looking for a Part Time School Nurse (RN) role? Do you have experience administering medication and providing first aid in a school setting? Do you want to feel appreciated in your role helping children and adolescents? Being a School Nurse (RN) Has Its Advantages As a Part Time School Nurse (RN) at the Devereux Day School located in Audubon, PA you will be responsible for the medication administration and general first aid for the students in the school. Also, you will demonstrate an understanding of the application of the nursing process and the delivery of student care in a school setting for students with special needs and medical challenges.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Pennsylvania preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Previous clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare setting and/or school setting strongly preferred.
• Significant amounts of walking, sitting, and standing.
• Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques.
• Proficient use of computers and office equipment.
• Valid driver's license must be maintained.

Responsibilities

• Provide care as needed for the students with special needs and medical challenges
• Administer and document the usage of medication by students
• Organize and administer student medication
• Attain and maintain the optimum health status of all students
