About The Position

PASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1 is seeking a School Nurse for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a 1.0 FTE position, with the building assignment to be determined prior to the start of the school year. The salary will be based on the 2026-2027 Certificated Salary Schedule. New hires are conditional upon passing a fingerprint screening. The district is committed to student success and provides equal access to various youth groups. Requirements

  • Must be a registered nurse currently licensed with the State of Washington.
  • ESA required, or ability to obtain.
  • Ability to develop rapport and communicate well with students, parents, and staff.
  • Able to work independently and on own initiatives with interruptions.
  • Able to work flexible hours and make visits to migrant families as needed.
  • Able to provide own transportation.
  • Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures.
  • The candidate must demonstrate commitment to student success while aligning with state requirements and the school’s guiding principles, vision, and mission.
  • The candidate must also demonstrate passion and enthusiasm for working with all students.
  • The candidate must be willing to participate in required trainings and professional development, implement best practices that foster meaningful learning experiences, work within a system that supports student interventions, and collaborate with relevant staff members to enhance student outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN from an accredited nursing program
  • Two years of experience in public health nursing, preferably in a school district
  • Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish
