About The Position
Interim HealthCare- Maine is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse in Sanford, ME. The ideal candidate will provide quality nursing care to students, collaborate with school staff and families, and promote a safe and healthy school environment.
Requirements
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maine.
- CPR and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain.

- Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of health screening, assessment, and emergency care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to students including assessment, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with school policies and healthcare regulations.
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with special needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Promote health education and wellness programs within the school community.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide first aid when necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare providers to support student health and well-being.
