About The Position
We are currently seeking compassionate LPNs to provide 1:1 nursing care for a student in a school setting. In this role, you will monitor health conditions, administer medications, and ensure your student's safety throughout the school day. Make a difference every day while helping a student learn, grow, and thrive in the classroom.
Requirements
- LPN License issued by NYS
- Must have 6 months nursing experience
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
- Ability to work independently in a school setting
- Communicate with families, school staff, and healthcare providers
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care duties and treatments as per care plan.
- Provide health promotion, counseling, and education.
- Administer medications and other personalized interventions.
- Coordinate care, in collaboration with a wide array of health care professionals.
- Document nursing notes regarding patient care daily.
- G-tube and feeding tube care, tracheostomy and ventilator management, diabetes care, seizure monitoring, and other specialized nursing needs.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand/work for extended periods
