The School Monitor is responsible for ensuring the safety of students by providing supervisory monitoring of students at various times of the days including before/after school and during lunch/recess. The School Monitor will provide a safe and orderly environment for students, monitor students during bus drop off, arrival, and after school, and monitor halls during student arrival and during lunch. This role also involves maintaining the assigned lunch schedule for all grade levels without delay, supervising and assisting students through the serving line, supervising the lunchroom to maintain orderly conduct, supervising students during recess, and rotating through the lunchroom at the scheduled time. Additionally, the School Monitor will assist with general food needs such as helping students open food containers, discarding food during meals, and maintaining general cleanliness of the cafeteria. The role also includes assisting and supporting student behavior management, referring and communicating behavioral concerns and inappropriate conduct to appropriate administrative personnel, and performing related duties as required.
