About The Position

Simply Ed supports NYC public schools by ensuring the technology that powers classrooms works reliably every single day. As a School IT Support Technician at Leaders of Tomorrow Middle School, you will directly enable instruction, reduce downtime, and help teachers and students stay focused on learning rather than tech problems. Your work ensures that classrooms stay functional, instruction continues smoothly, and technology supports student success. You will serve as the on-site technical point person, owning day-to-day technology health and playing a visible, valued role in the school’s daily operations.

Requirements

• Motivated by keeping systems running smoothly and minimizing downtime.
• Comfortable working in a school environment with students and educators.
• Experienced with basic IT support, hardware troubleshooting, and device setup.
• Familiar with networking basics, including IP addressing, printers, and connectivity.
• Organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Strong communicators with a customer-service mindset.
• Adaptable in fast-paced, real-world environments where priorities can shift quickly.
• Cleared (or eligible for clearance) through DOE PETS background check and fingerprinting.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the overall health and functionality of school devices, including laptops, desktops, and classroom technology.
• Configure and manage printer IP addresses and troubleshoot printing and connectivity issues.
• Reimage and support Smartboards and other instructional technology.
• Provide general classroom technology maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Assist teachers and staff with basic technical support to minimize instructional disruptions.
• Ensure all technology is ready and operational for daily school use.
• Track, document, and communicate technology issues and resolutions as needed.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
