About The Position

Heritage Academy’s School Instructional Aide helps provide parents and scholars with a friendly, orderly academic environment. As an integral part of the school, the aide assists teachers and supports scholars and families in a friendly, professional manner while following practices consistent with Heritage’s culture, strategy, and values. The role includes working one-on-one with scholars in education classes, supporting physical education, providing crossing guard duties, transporting scholars in school vans, and filling in for teachers when needed. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school degree required.
• Valid driver’s license required; the position involves driving to various locations on and off campus to transport students.
• Must undergo fingerprint checking pursuant to A.R.S. 15-512.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional and friendly disposition.
• Proficiency with computers and office software applications, including MS Office tools and internet search engines.
• Outstanding organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• One to three years of experience in an academic setting preferred.
