Join #TeamWake as a School Health Nurse! The Wake County Health and Human Services School Health Program provides School Health Services for 198 Wake County Public Schools. Each school nurse serves 2 schools which may be any combination of preschool, elementary, middle, and/or high schools. Nurses spend 2 days a week at one school and 3 days a week at the other school. School nurses work 8-hour days Monday through Friday and must be present in assigned schools during regular school hours. This school nurse will serve 2 schools in the northeast region of Wake County, the northeast Raleigh and Rolesville area. Upon acceptance of employment, you acknowledge that (i) if you work in the Health Clinics and Public Health Division (including School Health,) influenza immunization is a condition of initial and continued employment, subject to compliance with federal law, and active support, and (ii) Participation in department emergency preparedness and response activities, which may include temporary changes in responsibilities and working hours.
