About The Position

The Program Coordinator has the primary responsibility for the development/expansion of School Health Centers (SHCs) within the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). This includes but is not limited to implementation, execution, monitoring and evaluation of grant deliverables for School Health Centers within the RHTP. School Health Centers increase access to primary and preventive health care that improves the health status and academic performance of older children and adolescents, ages 10 to 19 years. The RHTP will expand access to these services in identified rural communities within North Carolina. THIS POSITION IS FOR A 5-YEAR RURAL HEALTH TRANSFORMATION GRANT. NC DHHS IS REQUIRED TO REAPPLY EACH YEAR FOR CONTINUED FUNDING DURING THE 5-YEAR GRANT PERIOD.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and three (3) years of experience related to the area of assignment OR An equivalent combination of training and experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing State of North Carolina Contracts
  • Experience with the the contract management system, Open Window
  • Experience providing public health programs within an educational setting
  • Understanding and experience with the NC Local Health Department system
  • Experience with Grant management and report writing
