About The Position

Experienced and reliable Food Service Worker with a strong background in school cafeteria operations is needed. This role requires skills in food preparation, serving a student population, maintaining strict sanitation standards, and supporting a positive dining environment for students and staff.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a school cafeteria or institutional food service setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Food Handler's permit or Serv Safe® Certification (preferred if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food prep, including chopping, cooking, baking, and assembling meals.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (ovens, slicers, dishwashers, etc.).
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, serving lines, storage areas and dining spaces.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards).
• Provide friendly, patient service to students of all ages.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and securing equipment.
• Technical proficiency in running a POS system.
