About The Position

Children of America (COA) is seeking an Assistant School Director to manage daily operations, lead a team of educators, and execute educational programming for all programs, from Infant care through School Age. The Assistant School Director works directly under a School Director, fostering a supportive environment for growth and sharing a passion for early childhood education. COA values diversity and encourages employees to bring their unique attributes, perspectives, and backgrounds to the team. The program serves preschool children aged 6 weeks to 12 years, including Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before and After Care, and Summer Camp programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum Associate's Degree in General Education
  • 12 ECE/Child development/School-Age credits hours
  • 6 admin/mgt credit hours OR Directors' Leadership Academy I & II
  • 30 hours job-related training
  • 6 months experience in a licensed childcare facility
  • Advanced knowledge in early childhood education
  • Flexible in challenging situations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to build strong relationships.
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Effective decision maker
  • Proficient in the use of technology, including industry applications, MS Office 365; Word, Excel, Power Point
  • Must meet state requirements
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability and willingness to drive and/or travel up to 10% of the time for training, professional development, and organizational meetings.

  • Develop, lead, and retain a talented team of people.
  • Understand, comply with, and work to exceed all regulations as directed by your state.
  • Continuously pursue enrollment growth through the execution of the COA Experience.
  • Continuously pursue quality care through the execution of our curriculum.
  • Manage all day-to-day operations utilizing COA's processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Meet all COA's performance standards in terms of operations and education as outlined in your annual budget.
