About The Position
The School Custodian helps maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment at local schools in Newberry, South Carolina. The role includes caring for classrooms, disinfecting restrooms and high-touch surfaces, emptying trash and recycling, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs. The posting offers full-time and part-time Monday–Friday schedule options, with no weekends.
Requirements
- Pass the required background and drug screens.
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Be dependable and arrive ready to work.
- Be comfortable spending time on your feet.
- Bring a friendly, positive attitude when interacting with staff and students.
Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum classroom floors.
- Disinfect restrooms and high-touch surfaces.
- Empty trash and recycling bins.
- Restock supplies such as soap and paper towels.
- Keep the facility tidy and report maintenance needs to a supervisor.
