About The Position

Campus Services Group (CSG) is seeking a dedicated School Custodian to maintain a clean and safe environment within its facilities. The custodian works with staff and students to ensure the school meets high cleanliness standards and provides a tidy environment. The role includes performing scheduled janitorial and cleaning tasks, following safety and infection-control practices, responding to requests, and reporting equipment or supply needs.

Requirements

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
• Must complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
• Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours daily.
• Must be able to lift and carry, and push and pull, a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers.
• Must provide a criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks in assigned areas to meet quality standards and safety guidelines.
• Use protective gear during all cleaning functions.
• Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
• Report equipment and cleaning product needs or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms, common spaces, and other areas.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
• Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related duties as assigned.
• Respond promptly to paging system alerts and customer requests.
• Follow infection-control practices and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
