School Custodian
About The Position
Campus Services Group (CSG) is seeking a dedicated School Custodian to maintain a clean and safe environment within its facilities. The custodian works with staff and students to help the school meet cleanliness standards. The role involves routine cleaning and janitorial duties, following safety and infection-control practices, and responding to requests. Starting pay is USD $18.00 per hour. A high school diploma or equivalent and previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting are preferred. The employee must be able to perform physical tasks, work around food and cleaning products, and meet applicable vaccination policies and background-check requirements. Requirements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
- Ability to complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
- Punctuality and reliability for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to stand and walk for 6–8 hours daily.
- Ability to lift and carry, and push and pull, up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required by state, local, and/or customer requirements.
- Must provide a criminal background check.
Nice To Haves

- Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial and cleaning tasks in assigned areas to meet quality standards and safety guidelines.
- Use protective gear during cleaning functions.
- Complete cleaning assignments on schedule.
- Report equipment or cleaning-product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
- Dust mop and damp mop floors in classrooms and common spaces.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, classrooms, and common areas.
- Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and perform related duties as assigned.
- Respond promptly to paging-system alerts and customer requests.
- Follow infection-control practices and universal precautions to maintain a sanitary environment.
