About The Position
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time School Custodian to join our team in Abbeville, SC. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment for students, teachers, and staff. With consistent weekday evening hours (no weekends!), this position is ideal for anyone seeking steady supplemental income, a secondary job, or a predictable part-time schedule.
Requirements
- Punctual, trustworthy, and able to work independently during evening hours.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift standard cleaning supplies or waste bins throughout the shift.
- Pride in keeping spaces fresh, sanitary, and well-organized.
- Must be able to pass a standard background check suitable for school environment employment.
Nice To Haves
- Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate!
Responsibilities
- Perform daily routine cleaning of classrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
- Thoroughly clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms daily.
- Vacuum carpets and sweep/mop hard surface flooring.
- Empty trash cans and recycling bins, replacing liners as needed.
- Dust furniture, desks, windowsills, and fixtures.
- Complete additional custodial duties as assigned by the supervisor to keep the facility in top condition.
