About The Position

ABM is seeking a reliable and experienced School Custodial Cleaner to perform general cleaning duties in assigned areas at a K–12 school, college, or university campus. The role involves maintaining classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways, food areas, and other designated spaces. On-the-job training is provided, and no prior experience or formal education is required. ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
No experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required.

One year of prior similar work experience.
Military experience; listed Military Occupational Specialty codes include 92S, 92Y, LS, 3051, and 3F1X1.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain assigned areas, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas.
Check trash receptacles regularly and empty them as needed.
Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify the lead cleaner or manager when minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems are needed.
Maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, coworkers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into appropriate receptacles.
Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
Polish hard surfaces, including woodwork and stainless steel.
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, manually or using hand trucks.
Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and tools such as sponges and squeegees.
Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Maintain restroom cleanliness and polish surfaces as needed.
Comply with applicable safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the company, clients, and regulatory authorities.
