About The Position

We are looking for a reliable and experienced School Custodian to perform general cleaning duties in designated areas at a K-12 school, college or university campus environment. The role is located at 6375 W. Charleston, Las Vegas, NV, and has a shift from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The listed pay rate is $13.52 per hour; a specific offer may vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. This may be a good job for someone just entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education. No experience or diploma is required, and on-the-job training is provided. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain assigned areas, which may include classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and stairways.
Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors in designated areas.
Check trash receptacles regularly and empty them as needed in designated areas.
Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Notify the lead cleaner or manager about the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, and managers.
Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles.
Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables, furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceilings, and walls.
Polish hard surfaces, such as woodwork and stainless steel surfaces.
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas.
Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates, and equipment to clean areas, manually or using hand trucks.
Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Maintain the cleanliness of restrooms, cleaning and polishing them as needed.
Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, clients, and regulatory authorities.
