About The Position

This position requires an 11-month work schedule. All prospective employees must submit to a Level 2 background check pursuant to Florida State Statute 435.04 and be found eligible by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. The background check will include, but is not limited to, fingerprinting for statewide criminal history records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, national criminal history records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies, and a search of the sexual predator and sexual offender registries of any state in which the prospective employee resided during the immediate preceding 5 years. Requirements

• Holds or be eligible for a Florida Department of Education certificate in school counseling as specified in Administrative Rule 6A.4.0181
• A master’s or higher degree with a graduate major in guidance and counseling or school counseling or a master’s or higher degree with a graduate major in counseling.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate and work well with others
