About The Position

Provide individual and group counseling to students in grades K-6. Instruction using Leader In Me curriculum during rotational blocks. Help with greeting students at morning drop off and afternoon pick up. Monitor student attendance and send attendance letters, work with the school social worker on doing home visits. Monitor students on home schooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license.
• Must enroll in a Program to continue employment with the Department.
• Must satisfactorily demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements, as set forth by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (HTSB) within each year of employment.
• It is your responsibility to ensure the program you have enrolled is aligned with the teaching line you are hired in.
• Upon hire you will need to have a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit.
