This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. The School Counselor will plan and implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, diverse backgrounds, and abilities of students. This role involves assisting in curriculum development, creating a conducive learning environment, guiding the learning process, employing appropriate instructional methods, assessing student progress, diagnosing learning strengths and weaknesses, counseling with colleagues, students, and parents, and supporting school administration in implementing policies. The counselor will also supervise support personnel and volunteers, utilize technology in teaching, maintain accurate records, perform Medicaid administrative claims reimbursable activities, adhere to the Code of Ethics, and support school improvement initiatives. Additionally, the counselor will recognize and act on indicators of student distress or abuse and establish an appropriate testing environment.
