About The Position
Ampersand Therapy is hiring a School Counselor for a contract, school-based position in Waynesville, NC. In this role, you'll support K-12 students by providing counseling services that promote academic achievement, social-emotional well-being, and career readiness. This opportunity is ideal for both experienced school counselors and newly licensed professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative school community.
Requirements
- North Carolina Professional Educator's License in School Counseling (or eligibility to obtain)
- Master's Degree in School Counseling or related field
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice To Haves
- School-based experience preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to K–12 students
- Support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams
- Participate in MTSS, IEP, and Section 504 meetings, as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation and student records
