About The Position

CPDLF is seeking a School Counselor to contribute to the development of a comprehensive school counseling program focused on equity, access, and belonging for all learners. The PA certified School Counselor will work with the CPDLF team to support learners in academics, career planning, and social-emotional development. This role can be either part-time or full-time, depending on the candidate.

CPDLF is a 24/7 asynchronous K-12 PA cyber school serving learners and families throughout Pennsylvania. Learners have continuous access to learning platforms and are encouraged to take initiative in their education. The main office is in Altoona, PA, with Drop In Learning Centers in Altoona Logan Valley Mall and Stroudsburg, PA.

The CPDLF Team prioritizes building strong, personal connections with learners and their families, which is key to fostering positive relationships and setting the organization apart. They continuously seek methods to connect, engage, and empower learners, whether in person or virtually. The organization believes every individual matters and deserves optimal opportunities for learning and growth, striving to personalize learning for everyone involved.

Requirements

• Appropriate PA certification for School Counseling.
• Experience working with families in high at-risk situations.
• All paperwork, clearances, and other new hire tasks completed immediately upon hiring.
• Acceptable PA State Police, Child Abuse, FBI Clearances, and Act 168 forms required to be hired.
• PA Standard Teaching Application and copy of certification must be provided.
