About The Position
Mary of Nazareth School is seeking a School Counselor for the 2026-27 school year. This full-time role involves working with students and parents to provide academic, personal, and spiritual guidance in alignment with the principles and moral philosophy of the Catholic Church. The counselor will support student success through various means, including individual and group sessions, teacher consultations, classroom presentations, and referrals to outside professionals.

- Excellent communication skills
- Patient
- Master's Degree in School Counseling and Guidance
- Knowledge of best practices in pedagogical techniques
- Experience in a school setting
Responsibilities
- Meet with students in small groups or individual settings
- Provide support, guidance and observation to teachers regarding student social and behavioral issues
- Present appropriate social skills, mental health awareness, team building and problem solving in the classroom
- Provide materials for referrals to outside professionals for students needing additional support
- Provide proactive leadership that engages all stakeholders in the diversity of programs and services to help students achieve school success.
