About The Position
Mary of Nazareth School is seeking a School Counselor for the 2026-27 school year. This full-time role involves providing academic, personal, and spiritual guidance to students and parents, aligned with the principles and moral philosophy of the Catholic Church. The counselor will work with students individually and in small groups, support teachers with student social and behavioral issues, present on social skills and mental health, and provide referrals for additional student support. The position also requires proactive leadership to engage stakeholders in programs and services that promote student success.

- Master's Degree in School Counseling and Guidance
- Knowledge of best practices in pedagogical techniques
- Experience in a school setting
Responsibilities
- Meet with students in small groups or individual settings
- Provide support, guidance and observation to teachers regarding student social and behavioral issues
- Present appropriate social skills, mental health awareness, team building and problem solving in the classroom
- Provide materials for referrals to outside professionals for students needing additional support
- Provide proactive leadership that engages all stakeholders in the diversity of programs and services to help students achieve school success.
