About The Position
Barbers Point Elementary is seeking a dedicated School Counselor for grades K-5. The Hawaii State Department of Education is committed to hiring highly qualified educators. If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, candidates have a maximum of 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license and must enroll in a program to continue employment. Active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements must be demonstrated annually. A valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit is required upon hire.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire
Responsibilities
- Provide counseling services to students in grades K-5.
- Actively pursue and maintain a valid Hawaii teaching license.
- Demonstrate active pursuit towards meeting Hawaii licensing requirements annually.
- Enroll in a program to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license if not already possessed.
